You want to make sure that you are doing everything possible to keep your teeth and gums healthy during this time. Not only will it help keep your teeth looking great, but it will also help prevent future problems.

Do’s & Don'ts of Braces!
Do
- Eat soft, non-sticky foods
- Consistently wear the rubber bands, headgear, retainer, or other appliances
- Brush (and floss!) regularly
- Keep braces, retainers, and other prescribed hardware clean from debris and sanitized!
- Cut foods into smaller bites and use utensils instead of taking bites out of harder foods
Don’t
- Eat hard, sticky, crunchy foods
- Pull or pick at your hardware
- Don’t play rough sports without a protective mouthguard
- Don’t ignore loose teeth or appliance damage. Call us.
- Avoid flossing. Keep up with your routine!
